Terms of Service
Plain-language terms.
Last updated: May 2026
Who this applies to
These terms apply to anyone who uses Folio — reading posts, creating an account, or publishing content. By using Folio, you agree to these terms.
Your content
You own everything you write. Folio does not claim any ownership over your posts, drafts, or other content. You grant Folio a limited licence to store and display your content — that is all.
If you delete a post or your account, your content is removed from public display. Cached copies may persist briefly in CDN caches before expiring.
What you agree not to do
- Post content that is illegal, harassing, or deliberately harmful to others
- Impersonate another person or organisation
- Use Folio to distribute spam or unsolicited commercial messages
- Attempt to access accounts or data that is not yours
- Scrape or crawl Folio in ways that degrade service for other users
Account termination
Folio reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected].
Availability
Folio is provided as-is, without any guarantee of uptime or availability. It is a personal project running on best-effort infrastructure. Important content should always be backed up independently.
Limitation of liability
Folio is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or indirect damages. This is a personal platform, not an enterprise service.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Folio after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
